Raising research funds for thyroid eye disease – Carrots NightWalks, September 2014
The British Thyroid Foundation (BTF) is raising funds to be able to partner with Fight for Sight to provide a research fund of £15,000 for thyroid eye disease. The Carrot NightWalks are organised each year by Fight For Sight – who match fund the amount raised – and take place in four UK cities in September 2014: London (19 Sept), Birmingham and Bristol (26 Sept), and Glasgow (27 Sept). There are two walks to choose from - a six-mile walk and a 15-mile walk. For further info visit fightforsight.org.uk/carrots
The BTF needs 30 people to sign up, and already almost half that number have pledged to raise funds. Through sponsorship it is hoped that each participant will be able to raise around £250. Every penny will go towards research into thyroid eye disease and will be match-funded by Fight For Sight.
The BTF (and patients with thyroid eye disease) would be very grateful for your support in raising funds for thyroid eye disease research. If you wish to take part please download the pledge form, and send the completed form to Janis Hickey, Director of the BTF: email@example.com
Thyroid Eye Disease and Smoking – Survey
The UK Thyroid Eye Disease Amsterdam Declaration Implementation Group (TEAMeD), whom we are part of, would greatly appreciate feedback on a smoking cessation leaflet that we are trying to produce.
Please help us by completing the survey. On the British Thyroid Foundation website you will be able to view the proposed leaflet (2 pages) then complete the short survey about it: btf-thyroid.org/index.php/campaigns/surveys
